Charles S. Allis, 90, southwest Kansas City, a past hotel executive, died March 19, 1991, at the home.

Mr. Allis was vice president of the Muehlebach Hotel for 17 years and was president of the Trianon Hotel Co. before he retired in 1962. He was past manager of the Connor Hotel in Joplin, Mo., and the Allis Hotel in Wichita, and earlier was co-owner of the Allis Press. After he retired, he was a charter member of the Kansas City chapter of the Service Corps of Retired Executives, in which he served as a hotel and restaurant consultant. He was named SCORE

Man of the Year by the Small Busin ess Administration in 1972, was recognized by the SBA for 20 years of service in 1985 and was past chapter president.

He was president of the Kansas City Hotel Association in 1954 and 1960, was president of the Arkansas-Missouri-Kansas-Oklahoma Hotel and Motel Association in 1966 and was a past member of the boards of directors of those associations and the Missouri Hotel Association. He was past chapter president of the board of directors of the Hotel Greeters of America and served on the chapter's board of directors. He was a hotel consultant in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for the International Executive Service Corps for four months in 1972.

Mr. Allis was a member of Temple B'nai Jehudah and was a member of its honorary board of trustees. He had taught hotel management at Johnson County Community College and was a past member of the advisory board at the college. He was a member of the Oakwood Country Club and had served on the board of directors of Oakwood Country Club. He was a member of the Kansas City Rotary Club and the Friends of Art. He had attended the University of Missouri-Columbia.

He was a lifelong area resident. His brother, Barney Allis, president of the Muehlebach Hotel, died in 1962. Survivors include his wife, Frances Allis of the home; two sons, Arthur Allis, Tucson, Ariz., and Larry Allis, Plainsboro, N.J.; and four grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. today at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family requests no flowers and suggests contributions to Temple B'nai Jehudah, the Parkinson's Disease Foundation or charity.
