Evelyn B. Marr, 96, of Wenatchee, WA, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2014, in Wenatchee. She was born on April 28, 1918, in Wenatchee to James and Elsie (Somerville) Jensen. She graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1936, and attended Wenatchee Business College. Evelyn was a bookkeeper for Douglas County Auditor’s Office in Waterville for several years. On August 24, 1941, she married Stanley E. Marr in Wenatchee. Her whole life was centered around her two sons, James Edward and Stan G. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church, where she was active in Mary Ruth Circle. Evelyn volunteered at the Deaconess Hospital Nurses Training Center and later at Central Washington Hospital.

She is survived by her two sons, Dr. James Edward (Judy) Marr of Lynden, WA and Stan G. (Maria Chang-Marr) Marr of East Wenatchee, WA; four grandchildren, Katherine Stikes, James Michael Marr, Lori S. Van Dyke, and Shelly Marr; four great-grandchildren; and two twin brothers, Rev. Martin Jensen and Marlin Jensen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Edward Marr, on November 15, 1991; one sister and one brother.

Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 17, 2014, at Jones & Jones~Betts Memorial Chapel in Wenatchee, with Entombment following at Wenatchee City Cemetery Mausoleum.
