Mercedes M. Rothermel-Haas (nee Haun) age 83 of Homewood passed away at St. James Hospice in Chicago Heights on February 12, 2009. Preceded in death by her 1st husband Richard Rothermel in 1986 and 2nd husband Henry in 2008. Survived by her loving children, Michael (Lana) Rothermel, Donald (Nancy) Rothermel, Dennis (Cindy) Rothermel, Karen (Gabe) Persiani, Cathy (late David) Parks and Lisa Rothermel; grandmother of fourteen and great-grandmother of three. Mercedes retired as a nurse with St. James Hospital in Chicago Heights. She was the past president of Chicago Heights Women's Club and founding member of St. Kieran's Church. Visitation Sunday, February 15, 2009 from 2PM to 8PM at Kerr-Parzygnot Funeral Home, 540 Dixie Hwy. (at Joe Orr Rd.), Chicago Heights, IL. 60411. Funeral mass 10AM on Monday, February 16 at St. Kieran's Church, 724 W. 195th Street, Chicago Heights, Illinois. Interment Fairmount Willow Hills Memorial Park, Willow Springs, Illinois.
