Death Claims Noble Cory

MONTICELLO - Services for Noble H. Cory, 85, 210 Golden Hills Road, Monticello, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Miller-Voorhis Funeral Home. He died at 4:05 p.m. Thursday at Lucerne General Hospital, Orlando, Fla. He had been ill several weeks.

Born Oct. 28, 1895, in Boone County, he was the son of Thorley E. and Mary E. Hawkins Cory. He was married on May 12,1917, to Mabel M. Schuster. She died April 27,1969.

He had lived at Monticello for more than 30 years, coming from Indianapolis. He had lived in Edgewater, Fla., during the winter for approximately 30 years. He was a member of the Monticello United Methodist Church and the Twin Lakes Senior Citizens Club at Monticello and was a life member of the North Park Masonic Lodge No. 646, Indianapolis.

Surviving are a daughter, Edith Dunham, Monticello; a granddaughter; three great-grandchildren and two brothers, Carl E. and Fred E., both of Edgewater, Fla.

The Rev. Donald Johnson will officiate at the services. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery, Monticello. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday. Masonic services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Monday.
