Walter Edward Durdel, 88, of Toledo,
died Wednesday, July 28, 1999 at Flower Hospital.
Mr. Durdel was born February 17, 1911 in Milton Center, Ohio. He moved to Toledo in 1936 and married Velva Lewis April 27, 1946. He was employed with Doehler-Jarvis Company for 34 years, retiring in 1971.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Velva "Val" Durdel of Toled0; sons, Douglas, Toledo, Elgin, Holland, Ohio, Melvin Brainbridge, Ohio, Roger (Donna), Toledo, Emerson (Loretta), Toledo; daughters, Carol Durdel, Toledo, Lila
(Robert) Garber, Liberty Center, Ohio,
Janith (Alvin) Grant, Toledo; brother,
Edward Durdel, Toledo; sister, Bernice
Renwand, Oak Harbor, Ohio; 17 grand-
children, and 1 great-grandchild.
Visitation will begin Friday, July 30,
1999 from 3-9 p.m. at the H. H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, Triby Chapel, Tremainsville at Alexis, with services to be Saturday at
11 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment
Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorials to one's favorite charity.
