William Atcheson Sr. died sometime before 1853. On January 5, 1853 Jane (Butler) Atcheson was able to complete the purchase of the 100 acre family farm and obtained the title to the E1/2 Con 6, Lot 28 which is a little north of Hillsburgh, Erin T. On August 30, 1858 she had her Will registered on title naming her nine children as beneficiaries. Jane (Butler) Atcheson died on September 30, 1858 and was buried at the Price's Corner Cemetery in (East) Garafraxa. On March 17, 1863 Archibald Martin & wife, Andrew Crawford & wife, John Johnston & wife and Thomas Carroll & wife transferred their interest in the family farm to William Atcheson Jr. On March 18, 1863 John Atcheson & wife, Samuel Atcheson, James Atcheson and Thomas Atcheson & wife also transferred their interest in this farm to William Atcheson Jr.
