Audubon Newspaper clipping, hand-written date 6-3-1909:
"Rhoda Mallet was born Nov. 24, 1845 and died March 24, 1909, at the home of her son in Winnebago, Nebr., age 64 years and 6 months. She was born in Chemung Co., N.Y. At the age of six she moved to Illinois and latter to Iowa. She married George Chamberland [Chamberlain] in March, the 29th day of 1868. She united with the M.E. church when quite young."

"The funeral was held at the M.E. Church Wednesday A.M., Rev. A.B. Miller of the Presybeterian Church conducting the services. The body was laid to rest in the Arlington Heights. Mr. Chamberland [Chamberlain], Elmer Chamberland, Ben Carr and Matie Gill accompanied the remains here for burial. Mrs. A.C. Harmon and Mrs. Ben Carr arrived the day before. The bereaved relatives have the sympathy of their many friends."
