Mr. Brazelton, 77, passed away April 14, 2015 from complications of Alzheimer's disease. Ron was a fourth generation pioneer family from Elbert County where He grew up ranching, farming, working with horses and cattle. Ron loved country music, trucks, trains, vintage aircraft, hand tools and working in his yard. He could often be found helping his neighbors, teaching others his practical skills and enjoying his family. Ron also loved his pets and a good nap. He was interested in geography, roadways and maps. He was always wondering what was over the next hill. Ron was good working with his hands on different construction projects. In later years he enjoyed his extended Brazelton family discussing the old days, telling stories and frequently visiting his home town of Elbert. He was able to attend his 50th High School reunion in 2005. Ron was an over the road truck driver for over 45 years. In 1974, he was awarded the State of Colorado Driver of the Year Award for outstanding driving history and for saving a human life after an auto accident on Loveland Pass. In the late 70's, Ron starred in a television commercial for Coors Brewing Company. The ad featured Ron hard at work at his job as part of the "We are Coors" campaign. Ron had over 2 million accident free miles under his belt. He worked for several Trucking companies over the years but the one that stands out the most is Coors Transportation where he was known as "The Coors Truck Driving Man". He eventually retired, only to be diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. Ron fought the hard fight and faced the journey with pride and dignity. He was well respected and a well-liked man. Ron is survived by his wife, stepbrother, Dwayne Miller (Joanna); aunt, Eula Harrison; daughter, Karen Krueger; sons, Wes & Greg Brazelton; former wife, Darla Brazelton; his many cousins & friends. He will be missed by all. Private memorial service will be held.
