Bonnie was born March 24, 1931 in Gonzales to Hugo and Minnie Krum. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and her family loved her dearly. Bonnie was a compassionate and caring lady. She donated to so many charities to help other less fortunate people. She loved baking cakes, cookies, and pies for the ladies at the water department, her doctor's office workers, and even the trash men were recipients of her homemade goodies. She was a good woman that many people loved and will be missed dearly, not only by her family, but many relatives and friends. She was co-owner of Vacek's Club in downtown Rosenberg. She was active in the Ladies Auxiliary of V.F.W. Post 3903 for many years. She met and married Rudy Castilla 23 years ago and found her second love and remained happy with him to this very day. She wouldn't let him leave her side the past few weeks while she was ill and she was in his arms when she passed away on September 2, 2009.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugo and Minnie Krum; brothers, Joe Kotwig, Sonny Krum, Otto Krum, Walter Krum, Johnnie Krum, and Ed Zavadil; sister, Lillie Davidson; and mother-in-law, Concepcion Castilla.

Your mother is always with you...

She's the whisper of the leaves

as you walk down the street.

She's the smell of bleach in

your freshly laundered socks.

She's the cool hand on your

brow when you're not well.

Your mother lives inside

your laughter. She's crystallized

in every tear drop...

She's the place you came from,

your first home.. She's the map you

follow with every step that you take.

She's your first love and your first heart

break....and nothing on earth can separate you.

Not time, Not space...

Not even death....

will ever separate you

from your mother....

You carry her inside of you....

We love you mom, gone home with the angels, but always here in our hearts.
