John William Rose, 50, 1503 E. 21st St., died Wednesday in Ball Hospital following a short illness. Born in Peru, he had lived in Muncie 21 years. He was employee of Magic City Beverage Co. for eight years. Mr. Rose was a World War II veteran and was a member of Teamsters Local 135 and the Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Mary; two sons, John T. and David Kent, both of Muncie; four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Georgianna Heaton, Peru; and four brothers, Raymond and Charles, Indianapolis, Danny, with the Armed Forces in Japan, and Jerry, with the Armed Forces in Vietnam.
Friends may call at Piepho & Fry Funeral Home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and before services there at 10 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery.
