Janice S. Maniaci

MARION: Janice S. Maniaci, age 71, of Marion, Ohio passed away Friday, April 10, 2015 at Heartland of Marion.

She was born November 1, 1943 in Price, KY. to the late Silas and Goldie (Newsome) Johnson.

In 1961 she married Nicholas E. Maniaci, he preceded her in death.

Janice retired from The Ohio Reformatory for Women in Marysville after 30 years.

She is survived by her children, William (Rita) Maniaci of Marion, Michael (Edith) Maniaci of Marion, Nicoletta (Greg "Tubby" Reynolds) Maniaci of Marion; 17 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Anthony J. Maniaci; her daughter, Carolyn Marie Maniaci Canterbury; brothers, Dewey Johnson and Howard Johnson; and her sister, Shirley Hennen.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 16, 2015 from 4-7 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Friday, April 17, 2015 at 10AM at Good Faith Baptist Church, 706 E. Mark St. with Rev. Barkley Sloan officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Heights Memory Gardens.

Janice was a faithful donor to St. Jude's Children's Cancer Hospital so the family asks donations be made to them in her memory. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.boydbornfuneralhome.com
