Navy Equipment Operator 1st Class Gary T. Rovinski, 44, of Roseville, Ill.; was assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 25, Fort McCoy, Wis.; killed June 5 as a result of enemy action when his Humvee was struck by an improvised explosive device in Anah, Iraq. Also killed was Navy Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Jaime S. Jaenke. He was a graduate of Bishop Hoban High School, College Misericordia and Miami of Ohio, where he earned his master's. He was preceded in death by his father, the late Joseph S. Rovinski, and brother, Michael. Surviving are his wife, Jenifer; daughters Cecilia and Michaela; mother, the former Carmella Saracino Rovinski, Mountain Top; sister and brother-in-law, Paulette and Dave Bellamori, Woolrich Township, N.J.; sister Mary Catherine Costigan, Mountain Top; brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Andrea, Mountain Top; brother, Anthony, Wilkes-Barre; and brother Thomas, Las Vegas; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
