Arthur RossTurner, Jr.PAMPLICO -- Arthur Ross Turner, Jr., 76, of Pamplico, SC, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2015.Mr. Turner was born in Florence County, SC, a son of the late Arthur Ross Turner, Sr. and Amanda Louise Young Turner. He was a truck driver with South Eastern Freight Lines out of Charleston for 23 years. Mr. Turner was a Third Degree Mason of Lodge #324 of Pamplico and a member of the 32nd Degree Scottish Rite of Charleston and of Omar Shriners-Hillbilly Clan #2 of Charleston.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, John Wilson Turner and George Edward Turner and his sister, Peggy T. Miller.Surviving are his wife, Frances Madray Turner; son, Rickie (Evelyn) Turner of Charleston; sister-in-law, Vonnie Lee Turner of Pamplico and a number of nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 20, 2015, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21, at Prospect United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Prospect United Methodist Church Building Fund, 834 Belle Thompson Road, Pamplico, SC 29583.
