Preceding him in death were, his wife, Myrtle, and his three brothers, Dennis, Howard and Herbert Cheek. Surviving are his son, Michael Cheek, wife, Jessie, and five grandchildren, Timothy, Philip, Julia, Peter and Amy Cheek; sister-in-law, Yvonne Cheek, nephews and nieces and many friends.
A graveside service will be held at the Henry-Peyton Cemetery, in Benchley, at 2p.m. on April, 21. Trevino-Smith Funeral Home of Bryan, will be in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Texas A & M Scholarship Fund for the Corps of Cadets.
