Olympic Gold Medalist (1928 Ice Hockey). Halward Alan Rogers Plaxton was born in Port Perry, Ontario, and was educated at the University Of Toronto Schools and the University of Toronto. During his education he played right wing for school teams and was enticed onto the Varsity Grads by his cousins, Herbert and Hugh Plaxton. The Grads, as the Allan Cup holders, represented Canada at the 1928 Winter Olympics, where they won the ice hockey gold medal. Rogers Plaxton went into the real estate business following the Olympics, first with Canada Life Assurance Co. and then on his own firm in 1953. Rogers was the fourth member of the 1928 team to pass away when he died in Toronto, Ontario.
