She was born January 17, 1915 at Marion County to Walter A. and Edith M. (Davis) Jordan

She was a 1933 Newton High School graduate. She worked as a Harvey Girl, a medical records clerk for the Hertzler Clinic and as a farm wife.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Halstead; Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 5, Newton; Rebekahs Lodge and Lakin Happy Homemakers E.H.U.

On August 16, 1936 she married Harold R. "Rolly" Berger at Newton. He preceded her in death January 13, 1996.

Survivors include a son: Larry (Virginia) Berger, Basehor; daughter: Carole Bean, Halstead; 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren.
