Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Silver Lake. The Rev. Julian C. Resch, O. Praem, will officiate with burial in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Mailand was born Oct. 6, 1892, in the Town of Manitowoc Rapids, son of the late George and Sophie Fischer Mailand. He married Cecilia Steder Oct. 6, 1925, at St. Paul Catholic Church,
Manitowoc. Prior to his retirement the couple owned and operated a farm on Rt. 4, Manitowoc. He was a member of Holy Name Society of St. Joseph Church and Isaac Walton League of Manitowoc. He was a former supervisor for the Town of Manitowoc Rapids for 12 years. Mr. and Mrs. Mailand observed their golden wedding anniversary Oct. 6, 1975.
Survivors include his wife, a sister, Mrs. Mamie Seibert, of Manitowoc and nieces and nephews. Three sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home from 4 to 9 o’clock this Monday evening, where a wake memorial prayer service will be at 8 o’clock by members of Holy Name Society, relatives and friends.
