William G. Mecha (photo), 46, of Rt. 1, Manitowoc, died unexpectedly at the home Monday morning.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 9 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Clement Kern will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Mr. Mecha was born Nov. 8, 1910, at Manitowoc, son of the late Benjamin and Mrs. Rose Zych Mecha. He always resided at Manitowoc until 10 years ago when he married Edith Van Haren Aug. 30, 1934, and the past 27 years had been employed as a tinsmith for Aluminum Goods Mfg. Co. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of the Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Mr. Mecha is survived by his wife, a daughter, Marie, and two sons, John and Leon, at home; mother, Mrs. Rose Mecha of Manitowoc; a brother, Richard of Manitowoc; and a sister, Mrs. Carl Longmeyer of Manitowoc. A brother died in February of 1956.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
