Leola J. Craig, 78, of Goose Lake, died Monday evening, April 20, 2015 at her home.
She was born July 18, 1936 in Batesville, Indiana a daughter of Edwin F. and Nola L. (Bush) Yeager. As a teenager, she moved to Fort Wayne. She graduated from Central High School.
On November 22, 1958 she was united in marriage to Marvin R. Craig. They made their home in Fort Wayne and later Leo, moving to their home at Goose Lake in 1983. Mr. Craig died September 15, 2014.
She was a dog lover and loved her dog, Oreo. She also enjoyed Nascar and watching Dale Earnhart Jr., I.U. basketball, bowling, cross stitch, reading and Facebook.
Surviving relatives include three children, Jeff (Lanore) Craig, Chrisandra Shelton and Barry (Barb) Craig; two step daughters, Vicki Brown and Sherri Grieser; 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; a brother, Wally Yeager; and three sisters, Lauren Voegele, Carol Ryan and Louann Volk.
In addition to her husband of over 55 years, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Edwin Yeager, Martin Yeager and Terry Yeager; and a sister, Violet Berry.
A Celebration of Life picnic for Leola and Marvin will begin at 12 Noon Saturday, June 13 at the Goose Lake home. There will be no other visitation or service.
Preferred memorials are to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
