MR. ALBERT ANTHONY DeRIGO, JR., 51, of Maple Street, Waynesboro, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 19, 2015.
Born March 6, 1964 in Harrisburg, PA, he was the son of the late Albert Anthony DeRigo, Sr., and Harriet A. (Toms) DeRigo, Waynesboro, where he has resided for the past 7 years.
Mr. DeRigo graduated with the class of 1982 from Central Dauphin High School, Harrisburg, and immediately enlisted in the United States Army, serving until 1984. He attended barber school in Harrisburg, and was employed 27 years as a barber, working in Hagerstown and Boonsboro, until he retired in 2008.
He was Catholic in faith, an avid fisherman and camper. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, New York Yankees, and NASCAR. He was a man of his own making who loved his family, especially his children: his son, Anthony DeRigo, III of Jacksonville, FL and his daughter, Taylor DeRigo of St. Augustine, FL.
In addition to his mother and his children, he is survived by a brother, Brian Matthew DeRigo of Greencastle, PA; two nieces: Skye and Rayna; and many cousins, aunts and uncles.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 22, 2015 in Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, 521 S. Washington St. Greencastle, PA, with Rev. Dr. A. Robert Cook officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia.
