Geraldine L. (Altland) Miller, 75, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 18, 2015 with her family by her side at Memorial Hospital. She was the loving wife of Herbert E. Miller. Together they shared over 55 years of marriage. Geraldine was born in Jackson Township on June 21, 1939 and was the daughter of the late Raymond and Helen (Doll) Altland. She graduated from East Berlin High School class of 1957. She and her husband owned and operated Miller's LP Gas in Dover, Miller's Furniture in Dover and Miller's Auction at the Adams County Fairgrounds. She loved gardening and was a dedicated and hard worker. She loved her family and cherished her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Herb, she is survived by her son, Ray Miller of West York; her daughters, Diane Wolf of Red Lion, Darlene Bowers of York and Lori Lantz of Easton Md.; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Lee Altland of Canonsburg; her sisters, Jean Barrick of York and Linda Lauer of Spring Grove; and her nieces and nephews. A funeral service in celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Irwin-Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., 175 N Main St, Spring Grove, with Rev. Larry McConnell officiating. Interment will be held privately. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
