A Loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend went to his eternal home, on Tuesday, April 21, 2015. He was 62 years old. He was a resident of Denham Springs and a native of Baton Rouge. After working for the Ford Motor Company, for over forty years, Ray was a Fire Watcher with Turner Industries, for the past five years. He leaves behind to cherish his memories; his loving wife of 20 years, Pam Abbott; three daughters, Ashley Zimmerle and husband James, Alesha Calhoun, Vernie "Cookie" Paille; two sons, David Hadden and wife Ashley, Adam Hadden; sister Loretta Achord; two brothers, Roger Abbott, Clyde Abbott and wife Sheila; and seventeen grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Walker Baptist Church, on Friday, April 24, 2015, from 5pm until 9pm. Visiting continues, on Saturday at the church, from 9am until Celebration of Life Service at 11am, conducted by Dr. Richard Blue. Burial will follow in the church Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray V. Abbott Sr. and Margie Mire Abbott.
