Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, the eldest of four daughters of Leland Mann Argyle and Columbia Loveland, Karleen Argyle Winegar spent her childhood in West Bountiful. A graduate of Davis High School, she was employed at Farmer's State Bank before her marriage to Richard T. Winegar June 19, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple. Dick and Karleen spent their lives in the grocery business. In Centerville, she founded Karleen's Bridal Gift Shop. A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she and Dick served a mission to the Hawaiian Island.

Holding the most prominent position in her heart and living a life of total devoted to them were her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Touching the lives of many by her faith, optimism, determination and unconditional love, she enjoyed painting, sewing, reading, golfing, traveling, and cooking.

Preceded in death by her parents, Karleen is survived by her husband, Dick Winegar; their children: Linda (Marv) Blosch, Lee R. (Alana) Winegar, LuAnn Wallin, Kent A. (fiancé' Sandi) Winegar; sisters: Doris Keith, LaVinia (Moreno) Robins, and Donna (Glenn) Wood.
