April 22, 2015 - Wanda Carolyn Miller Halcomb Akemon, 76, of Big Branch passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2015 at her residence. Wanda was the daughter of the late Dixon and Lovell Combs Miller. Surviving is her husband: Wayne Akemon; children: Gregory Halcomb of Linefork, Vickey Halcomb of Flintfield, Gloria Akemon of Big Branch, Vadis Akemon of Big Branch, and Valerie Sturgill of Big Branch; 2 brothers: Donald Miller of Big Branch and Marvin Miller of Ingrams Creek; 1 sister: Dorothy Cornett of Ingrams Creek; 14 grandchildren along with a host of great grandcihldren and great great grandchildren. Wanda was preceded in death by 1 daughter: Glenna Halcomb; 2 grandchildren. Funeral: 11:00 O'clock A.M. Friday, April 24, 2015 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Glenn Cornett, Wayne Caudill, and Clifford Gilbert officiating. Visitation: 5:00 P.M. Thursday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Cornett Cemetery at Big Branch, Kentucky.
