Born Aug. 28, 1899 in Central City, he was educated in Denver Public Schools. He married Miss Julia A. McAsey in Topeka, Kan., July 4, 1921. In 1942 he began work in the store department of the Union Pacific Railroad, working there until his retirement March 1, 1964. He was a member of the Catholic Church, the Union Pacific Old Timers' Club No. 2, and the Brotherhood of Railway Clerks Lodge No. 973.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, is a sister, Miss Loretta. T. Flynn of Denver.
Requiem high mass for John A Flynn, lifetime Colorado resident, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Church. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Moore Mortuary. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet.
