He was the son of the late Hugh Murl Martin and Gladys Love Nates Martin. He was a member of Chapel of Redemption and a U. S. Navy Veteran. He enjoyed guitar and riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by his wife, Melody Long Martin; children: Konnie Owens, Doug Martin, Tina (Chris) Cole, Teresa Ellerbee, Dorothy (Brad) Lincoln, Michael (Melanie) Pressley and Jack Hall; special niece: Heather Martin; siblings: John (Jeanny) "Billy" Martin, Kathy (David) Lewis and Ginny (Dalton) Shull; aunt: Bonnie Starnes; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service for Terry "Bulldog" Martin of Gaston, was held at 12 PM on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Moseley Funeral & Cremation Service.
