Alice Geneva Burke, 72, of Bellville, Texas, and formerly of Clovis, died Friday, May 26, 2006, at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan, Texas.
She was born Dec. 15, 1933, in Carlsbad to Emmitt and Johnnie Headrick Hunt. She was raised in Portales and lived in Clovis for 54 years and had lived in Texas the last two years with her daughter, Susie.
Family members said she loved animals, especially her rabbits and birds. They said she also enjoyed sewing, painting, bead work, gardening, watching Western movies and shopping, and most of all loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Claude, in 2004; son, Tommy.
Survivors include daughter, Claudia Sue, of Bellville, Texas; son, Ray Burke, of Clovis.
