Robert R. Fitzwater "Bo" died on April 21, 2015 at home with family. Born May 8, 1930 in Wilmington, DE. to the late Samuel and Gladys (Hall) Fitzwater.

Preceded in death by his wife Betty of 53 years, his parents, 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Survived by children, Iona Muscella (Robert), Robert Fitzwater Jr. (Mary Kay), Helen Lee (Jacob), Patricia McCutchan, 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, sisters and brothers in-laws in WV, and many nieces and nephews. He was a marine veteran of the Korean War earning a Silver Star, 3 Purple Hearts & several other medals. Following the war he went to work at General Motors where he retired after 30 years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and being outdoors hunting, fishing, & crabbing. His favorite hang outs were "Fitzwater's Cabin" in W. Va. and "Boys Town" Woodland Beach.

Services will be held on Thursday April 30, 2015 at Beeson Funeral Home 2053 Pulaski Hwy. Newark, DE at 12:00 Noon. Viewing begins at 10:00am. Burial held at Veterans Cemetery in Bear, DE at 2:00pm. Flowers welcome or contributions can be made to the "Wounded Warrier Project".
