Walter M. Goodwyn, Sr., born July 21, 1918, son of Thomas Jackson Goodwyn and Frances Blackmon Goodwyn, embraced Christ on August 26, 2010 in San Antonio, TX.

His passions were his faith in God, love for his family and his gardening.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Joyce Allene Goodwyn of San Antonio, TX; daughters Louise M. Nordstrom (James) of San Antonio, TX, Kathleen F. Markell (David) of Friendswood, TX, and Peggy Goodwyn-Vidal (George) of San Antonio, TX; sons, Walter M. Goodwyn, Jr. (Barbara) and Gary R. Goodwyn (Pamela) both of San Antonio, TX; sister Tennie Schmidt of San Antonio, TX; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; he is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Walter was loved and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

SERVICES
Visitation will begin at 1:00 - 9:00 PM on Monday, August 30, 2010 at Palm Heights Mortuary. Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at City South Church, 503 Moursund Blvd. Interment will follow at Mission Burial Park South.
