Robert H. “Bob” Weaver, 73, York, formerly of Hollidaysburg, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015, in York at the home of his daughter.

He was born March 26, 1942, in Hollidaysburg, son of Melvin and Mabel (Jackson) Weaver. He married Mary T. Dalby on December 3, 1960, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Altoona, and she died on March 6, 2007, after having shared 46 years of marriage.

Surviving are two daughters: Mary Jane McFalls (Gregory) of York and Heidi Metz (William) of Hollidaysburg; two sons: Robert (Michelle) of Hollidaysburg and Wilbur of Altoona; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Ann Hale of Topeka, Kan.

He was preceded in death by four brothers: Melvin, Donald, Jesse Lee and Elmer.

Bob was a 1960 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. He worked as a mechanic (loom repairman) at Juniata Fabric with more than 52 years of service. He was a former member of Zion Lutheran Church, Hollidaysburg. He loved his family and enjoyed fishing.

Friends will be received from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 p.m. by Pastor Terry Farr. Interment will be at Presbyterian Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.
