Sudden Death of Mrs. John Lummis

Mrs. John L Lummis, of Paloma, well known in this city died suddenly and unexpectedly at 9:30 o'clock Sunday night. Mrs. Lummis was confined two weeks ago and gave birth to a son. On Sunday evening she thought herself almost well and ask to be helped up and into a chair while her bed was being made up for the night. She expired almost immediately after being seated in the chair,
Deceased was the daughter of Dr. Nathan Hale McNeall and was married to Mr. John Lummis of Paloma, about one year ago. Her maiden name as Osa McNeall. She attended Chaddock College at one time. The two weeks old son survives her.
