JOBE HIRAM YOUNG, 85, OF GLEN, CLAY County, died July 15, 1991, at Thomas Memorial Hospital, South Charleston, of a long illness.
He was a retired engineer from Buffalo Creek and Gauley Railroad.
HE WAS A 50-YEAR MEMBER OF STRANGE CREEK LODGE AF&AM. Surviving: daughters, Radie Lee Fitzwater of Indore, Barbara Workman of Dixie, Sharon Bowyer of St. Albans, Naomi Wood of McCallen, Texas, Wilda Bensenhaver of Delaney, Fla., Nancy Lowen of Upland, Calif.; sons, Sherley Young of Big Chimney, David Young of Clyde, Texas; sister, Pearl Carte of Parkersburg; 24 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Carl Wilson Funeral Home, Clay, with the Rev. Willard Morris officiating. Burial will be in Clay Memorial Gardens with Masonic graveside rites.
