JOBE HIRAM YOUNG, 85, OF GLEN, CLAY County, died July 15, 1991, at Thomas Memorial Hospital, South Charleston, of a long illness.
He was a retired engineer from Buffalo Creek and Gauley Railroad.
HE WAS A 50-YEAR MEMBER OF STRANGE CREEK LODGE AF&AM. Surviving: daughters, Radie Lee Fitzwater of Indore, Barbara Workman of Dixie, Sharon Bowyer of St. Albans, Naomi Wood of McCallen, Texas, Wilda Bensenhaver of Delaney, Fla., Nancy Lowen of Upland, Calif.; sons, Sherley Young of Big Chimney, David Young of Clyde, Texas; sister, Pearl Carte of Parkersburg; 24 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Carl Wilson Funeral Home, Clay, with the Rev. Willard Morris officiating. Burial will be in Clay Memorial Gardens with Masonic graveside rites. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Bethel Community Church, Clay
