Ethel M. Murphy was born March 25, 1901 in Bombay, New York, daughter of Dennis and Catherine LaBelle Currier. On Nov. 3, 1925 in Chaumont, New York, she married Joseph J. Murphy, who died in Feb. 1970.
Ethel died this morning at Bothwell Regional Health Center, aged 86 years. She is survived by two daughters, Veronica Bazin, Sedalia and Sister Mary Anne Murphy, Omaha, Neb., and one sister, Catherine Currier. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. - Sedalia Democrat - Tuesday, Sept. 29, 1987 pg.2
