Ilion - Burial Services for Fred D. Hartford, 68, former Ilion resident who died in Syracuse, will be conducted in St. Agnes' Cemetery at 1 p.m. today following funeral rites in St. Theresa's Church, Syracuse, this morning.
Mr. Hartford was born in Ilion, son of Mr. & Mrs. Michael D.. Hartford. He married the late Catherine Irene Walsh September 27, 1899. While in Ilion he was active in the affairs of the Church of the Annunciation and served as financial secretary of the Knights of Columbus Council 518 for many years.
He and his family moved to Syracuse in 1923. He married Elizabeth Mesner November 21, 1941. Besides his widow he leaves two sons, Frederick T. and George W.; four sisters, Mrs. Daniel F. Bean, Miss Olive Hartford, Mrs. Romaine B. Julian, all of Ilion, and Mrs. George M. Carney.
