Mrs. Lucy Spurgeon, 81, former Rockton resident, died Saturday night at her home in New London, Wis., following a long illness. She was born Nov. 22, 1880, in Fayette, Iowa. She was a member of the Methodist church, and the Ladies Aid Society. She and her husband lived in Rockton several years before moving to their home in Wisconsin 11 years ago.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Lorge and Mrs. Estelle Randall, both of New London; one son, Steve of Van Nuys, Calif.; one brother, Roy Graves of Rockton; 3 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in New London, with burial in Rockton cemetery where grave side services were conducted by the Rev. Ben White of the Methodist church.
