(Hacker) Boyer of Sinking Spring, Berks County; and the father of Aaron R. Boyer, Jr. of Shartlesville, Diane J. (Boyer) Alessio, wife of Walter Alessio of Darwin, Australia, Robert M. Boyer of Wyomissing, Sherry E. (Boyer) Hobbs, wife of Michael Hobbs of El Paso, Texas, and William R. Boyer, who was serving as a Master Sergeant with the U.S. Air Force in Honolulu, Hawaii at the time of his father's death, as well as the grandfather of 12.

A resident of Sinking Spring, Berks County, A. Russell Boyer, Sr. passed away at the Reading Hospital in West Reading, Berks County, Pennsylvania at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, 12 January 1985. His funeral arrangements were handled by Theo C. Auman of Reading with interment made at the Berks County Memorial Gardens in Maidencreek Township, Berks County.
