MCGINNIS, BEULAH DEAN
94, of Oak Ridge, was called home by Jesus, Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at St. Mary's Residential Hospice in Knoxville. She was born June 25, 1914 in Union County, TN, the daughter of Orbin Jackson Anders and Sarah Moore Anders. Mrs. McGinnis attended Calvary Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and thoroughly enjoyed working in her garden, her yard and her house. Her family was the center of her life. She also enjoyed traveling. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Coy L. McGinnis; sons, Kyle and Denny McGinnis; daughter, Shirley McGinnis, grandchildren, Jerry Akers and Nancy Akers Freels; sisters, Bess and June and brothers, Johnny, Jasper, General, Dave, Clayton and Grant. She is survived by 3 daughters, Gladys Edwards and husband Bill of Oak Ridge, Charlotte Woullard and husband Jim of Chattanooga and Shirlene Bolen and husband Jack of Oak Ridge; daughter in law, Edna McGinnis of Knoxville; 17 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 6 step great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and Missy, her beloved pet, protector and companion. Funeral services are Friday, October 24, 2008 at 8 pm at Weatherford Mortuary with Dr. Steve McDonald officiating. Graveside services are Saturday, 10 am at Anderson Memorial Gardens. The family asks that memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the Building Fund of Calvary Baptist Church.
