Beverly Joyce "Bev" (Domet) Cronin, 83

April 29, 1932 ~ April 29, 2015

Beverly Joyce Cronin was born in Omaha April 29, 1932, the adopted daughter of Jim and Leota Domet. She passed into eternal rest on her 83rd birthday Wednesday at the Hospice House in Omaha.

Bev grew up in Omaha attending Catholic school in north Omaha and fondly remembered time at Lake Okoboji in Iowa with her many friends.

She was married to a Navy officer, Bill Cronin on May 11, 1955, at St. Peters Church in Omaha.

Bev enjoyed life as a Navy wife and the many life-long friends she made. She was able to travel and live in California, Florida, London, Virginia, and Washington D.C. She also endured with her children Bill's time of service stationed in Vietnam with Naval Intelligence during the Vietnam War.

They retired in 1975 to a new home in Millard, Nebraska. Bev, who always enjoyed gardening, landscaped their new home with pride. Other hobbies included needlepoint and also rug making with her husband. She earned prize recognition for her art at the Nebraska State Fair.

Most of all, Bev was a people person and was born with the gift of gab. She never met a stranger and never lost contact with friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bill and infant daughter Colleen along with countless friends.

Left with memories are sons Kevin (Deb Roehl) of Overland Park, KS; Patrick (Carolee) of Fremont, NE; and daughter Maureen (Calvin) Taylor of Conestoga, PA. She is also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She will be interred with her husband Bill at the family plot in the Woodbine, IA cemetery in a family ceremony at a later date. The family requests any memorials and donations in lieu of flowers to the Josie Harper Residence Hospice House, 7315 Cedar Street, Omaha, NE.
