Emma "Kate" Crawford Cammack, 79, of Carrollton, Ky., died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2003, at Middletown Regional Hospital in Middletown, Ohio.

She was born Sept. 7, 1923, in Carroll County, Ky., the daughter of Samuel V. and Mary Elizabeth Kemper Crawford. She and her late husband, the Rev. English Cammack, founded the Locust Baptist Church, Gospel Baptist Church, and Open Door Baptist Church, all in Carroll County, Ky. She was a homemaker, played piano in church for more than 40 years, and taught Sunday School as the pastor's wife. She was a member of the Open Door Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Mike Cammack of Madison and Jerry Cammack of Lebanon, Ohio; two sisters, Justine Lavon of Michigan and Edna Chevalier of Cincinnati; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Aug. 16, 1992; two daughters, Carolyn and Marilyn Cammack; one son, Bishop Cammack; and one sister, Reba.

Services were to be at 1 p.m. today at the Graham-Dunn Funeral Home in Carrollton, with burial in the Carrollton IOOF Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Open Door Baptist Church, Carrollton, KY 41008; or the Bethany Baptist Church, 3285 Sycamore St., Osgood, IN 47037.

Emma "Kate" Crawford Cammack, 79, of Carrollton, died Sunday at Middletown, Ohio, Regional Hospital. She was a homemaker, and a pianist and Sunday school teacher at Open Door Baptist Church, Carrollton, where her husband, Rev. English Cammack was pastor. Rev. Cammack died in 1992.

Survivors include sons, Mike Cammack of Madison, Ind., and Jerry Cammack of Lebanon, Ohio; sisters, Justine Lavon of Michigan and Edna Chevalier of Cincinnati; seven grandchildren and five grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Graham-Dunn Funeral Home, Carrollton. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Carrollton. Burial will be in Open Door Baptist Church, Carrollton, Ky. 41008; or Bethany Baptist Church, 3285 Sycamore St., Osgood, Ind. 47037.
