Mr. Bartram was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, the youngest son of the late Samuel and Ethel (Williams) Bartram.
Known to his friends as Ted, he served in the Army Air Force during World War II.
Mr. Bartram attended Stratford High School. He enjoyed bowling, swimming, reading and traveling. At the end of his career he worked with his best pal he called "his brother" Peter.
During his building career, he built over 100 homes in the Huntington, Connecticut area and was an avid furniture maker. He was known as a gentle sole and cherished time with his family. He loved cats and enjoyed turkey dinners and his sweets.
Survivors include his son, Mark A. Bartram and his wife Debbie of New Hampshire; daughter, Debra J. "Debbie" Bodnar and her husband Tom of Watertown, Connecticut; son-in-law Jack Adams of Florida; grandchildren, Melodie and her husband Timothy Macsay and Colin Bartram all of New Hampshire, Kelli Sue Adams of Florida, and Ethan Bodnar, Nathaniel Bodnar and Sean Bodnar, all of Watertown, Connecticut; great-grandchildren, Madison and Savanna Macsay; two sisters, Irene Himmelberger of Kissimmee, Florida and Marie Goodin of Milford, Connecticut; several nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Bartram was predeceased by his daughter Karen Adams of Florida and his two brothers George and Robert "Bob" Bartram.
