Winfree attended JEJ Moore High School, Prince George. He was formerly employed with Petersburg Ford, owner/operator of B&B Motor Company and driver for Butler Towing, Waverly, Va. His favorite past times were spent going to the Richmond races and watching all western shows.
He was preceded in death by his parents; spouse, Barbara Mason-Bonner; and three brothers, James E., Arthur L. and John R. Bonner.
His memories will be cherished by: son, Winfree A. Bonner Jr. (Spondella) of Richmond; daughters, Makeshia Winfield of Chesterfield and Ja'Toya Winfield of Waverly; brothers, Van R. Bonner Sr. (Catherine) and Tyrone Bonner Sr., all of Prince George; sisters, Delorise E. Scott and Ann Taylor, both of Richmond; sisters-in-law, Vestine Bonner, Nellie Massenburg, Frances Hayes and Veronica Harvell; brothers-in-law, Scottie, Juawan and Franklin Mason; mother-in-law, Fannie Mason; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; host of other relatives and friends, to include devoted, Chase Boykin, Butlers Towing and Family, John Jones, Ernest Giles, Calvin Giles, Shirley Davis and Michael Winfield.
Celebration of life will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at the chapel of William N. Bland and Son Funeral Home, the Rev. Calvin Lewis Sr., officiate and the Rev. Willie Dickerson, eulogist. Interment to follow at Bonner Family Cemetery, Dinwiddie, Va.
The immediate family will assemble 12 p.m. at 19103 Braebrook Drive, South Chesterfield, on the day of service.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the William N.
Bland and Son Funeral Home, 137 Harrison St., Petersburg.
