Jim was educated in Dover, N.H. and was a 1971 graduate of Dover High School. He also attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, receiving his bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, summa cum laude, and his Master's in business administration.
Jim was President of Dopp & Dopp Associates Inc. / B&P Grading. A position he held until his illness in 1981, later selling the business to his brother John. Jim was a member of the Hudson-Litchfield Rotary Club, an active member of the First Congregational church of Nashua, as well as a one time Teacher to an eighth grade class at Hudson Memorial School.
Jim was a lot of things to a lot of people, but to me he was my friend. We met on the football field in high school and became fast friends. Jim was willing to do anything for a friend and would literally give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Jim was a All-State tackle #60 his senior year and played in the Shrine Game representing New Hampshire as a member of the team. The last time we saw each other was at our 25th high school reunion. I knew Jim was sick and I also knew that I'd never see him again. I hope everyone has a chance to have a friend like Jim at one time or another in their lives. God Bless from #63......
