Mrs Lockwood, widow of Leonard B. Lockwood, Sr, died Sunday, August 30, at the home of her daughter, Terri Calabro of Waterbury, after a brief illness. She was born in Halleck, W.Va., on December 13, 1916, daughter of the late Reverend Job and Iva Estelle [Stagg] Jones. She was a graduate of Franklin School of Nursing in Pittsburgh, Pa. She was a member of the Dunedin Country Club, the Dunedin Women's Golf Association and the First United Methodist Church in Dunedin. She was past president of the Watertown Women's Club and a former member of the United Methodist Church of Watertown, where she was active in parish activities.
She leaves three sons, George R. Lockwood of Watertown, Thomas J. Lockwood of Waterbury and Leonard B. Lockwood of Dunedin; two daughters, Mrs Roger T. [Terri] Calabro of Waterbury and Mrs Donald [Virginia] Doyle of New Britain; a sister, Ruth Jones Deahl of Lubbock, Texas; 15 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
