Death Takes Specialist – Dr. Chamberlain Ill Only 4 Hours

Dr. Charles Thomson Chamberlain, Portland eye, ear, nose and throat specialist, and son of the late Oregon governor and United States senator, George E. Chamberlain, died early Christmas day of an embolism. He was ill only four hours.

Born at Albany, Or., in 1880, Dr Chamberlain was graduated from Portland academy and studied medicine at the Oregon medical college and at Cooper, now the medical school of Stanford university, and did graduate work in Vienna.

In Portland practice Dr. Chamberlain was associated with Drs. Harry M. Hendershott and Wilford Belknap. He was a member of the recognized professional societies, including the Triological society of eye, ear, nose and throat specialists.

Surviving relatives include the widow, Deborah Boatner Chamberlain; two sons, John Boatner Chamberlain of Portland and Dr. George Earl Chamberlain of New York; a brother, George E. Chamberlain, now in Alaska, and three sisters, Mrs. Carrie Lee Chamberlain Wood of Portland; Mrs. Horace Tevis of Toledo, Wash., and Mrs. George Blair of Norfolk, Va.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:30 P.M. in Westmister Presbyterian church and will be conducted by the pastor, Dr. Perry C. Hopper.
