Moll, a stepdaughter to Ira. Dorthy was 12 years old and a native of California; June V. Owens, who was 7 years old and a native of California; and, Beverly R. Owens, who was 1 year 11 months old and a native of California.

Stella is in the 1940 federal census. She was then 42 years old with an 8th grade education. She was still married to Ira Vernon Owens, who was listed as Vernon Owens in this census. He had two years of high school education. He was a car salesman. The family was then living at 121 East Noble Street in Stockton, San Joaquin County, CA. June V. Owens was 17 years old and a junior in high school. Beverly R. Owns was 11 years old and in the fifth grade.

According to dickroberts95 on Ancestry.com, Stella married Vern Owens in about 1921. They had two children, both girls. She later married Royal Anderson. There were no children born to that marriage.

Stella was living in Monterey, CA, in 1971, 1973, and 1974. She was listed in the city directories for those years as the widow of Royal Anderson.
