Shirley P. Tunney, 62, of Blainsburg, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2009, in her home, with her loving family by her side.
She was born February 27, 1946, in Greene County, a daughter of James M. and Stella M. Ankrom Phillips.
Mrs. Tunney worked as a purchasing agent for the State Correctional Institute for 27 years.
She loved to sing and was active in many choirs. She was a member of California United Christian Church Chancel Choir, Choir at the Center in the Woods, Greene County Choir, First Christian Church Choir and Jefferson Baptist Church Choir.
Mrs. Tunney will be sadly missed by her husband, two daughters, four grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, is a brother, Stanley Long.
