ELMWOOD - Bruce J. Howard, 75, of Elmwood passed away at 4:52 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2015, at Heartland Health Care in Canton.He was born on Nov. 29, 1939, to Joseph and Nina (Threw) Howard.He is survived by one brother, Kenneth "Hap" (Nancy) Howard of Elmwood; and one sister, Linda (Wayne) Kersh of Farmington.He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Laurence Howard; and two sisters, Elizabeth "Bette" McCoy and Marilou King. Bruce worked at Roecker's in Peoria, Tower Park Gallery in Peoria Heights, Ben Franklin in Farmington and H&H Hardware in Elmwood, customizing frames.He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Elmwood and a member of the Masonic Lodges in Farmington and Elmwood.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2015, at the First Presbyterian Church in Elmwood. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Elmwood, with Masonic rites at 7 p.m. Cremation rites will be accorded following services, with burial of ashes at Elmwood Township Cemetery at a later date
