Hard worker. Did not like working in cleaning up shrimp. Also said it was painful picking cotton. She loved school. Had to stop attending after the 6th grade. Had to work. She loved music and seeing her family dance the night away. She would dance the jitter bug with her husband Ciriaco. As they got older their jitter bug dancing was in slow motion. She protect those she loved. She was not afraid to confront anyone. She had a gift where she knew any of her children or loved ones were sick or in need. She would be right there to take care of them. She liked to drink wine as she got much older. She was not a smoker nor a drinker thru out her years. She was my rock. She took care of me from birth. [granddaughter Debbie L]. She loved listening the the soap opreas on the radio then on channel 2 on tv in Southern Calif. Later in life she would sleep alot. I would change the channel as she would be asleep on the couch. Seconds later she would wake up saying change it back to her stories [soap operas] She later in life could not taste much in food. She would crave hot chetteos and would want to eat the whole bag. She was taught how to drive by one of her brothers. But never drove or had a drvier license. Her daughter Martha and her spouse Ciriaco drove her everywhere she needed to go. She loved her mother Lusia very much. Took care of her till she past away. She took care of me and her mother. Yet she never complained. We would go to catholic church every Sunday. I remember their was Lusia, Leonor, Martha and myself in church together. Four generation together. She was only 4 foot 10 inches tall. But she stood her ground as if she was 6 feet tall. I thank my father in heaven for blessing the best grandmother in my life. Love her AND miss her always.
