Obituary - Mishawaka
HARRIS, Sarah - Miss Sarah Harris, age 77, died in the residence of her nephew, Guy Weist, 318 East Lawrence Street, where she resided for 30 years, after being in poor health for yeara. She was born in Portage Prairie, north of South Bend, March 14, 1850, and had been a lifelong area resident of this community. She is survived by two nephews, Guy Weist and Edward Weist, of California, and a niece, Mrs. Lillian Carey, also of California, and a half-brother, Thomas Baird, of South Bend. Funeral services will be held from the residence, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. M. E. Hawkins, D.D., pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in City Cemetery. She was a member of the Baptist Church of South Bend.
