Channin was preceded in death by her father, Charles; and brother, William Brummitt.
She is survived by her mom, Donna; daughters, Ciera, Micala, Madison, Cydnie, and beloved family pet, Mojo; sister, Dawn (Jeff) Leonard; brother, Chuck (Michelle) Lockhart; niece, Missi (Nelson) DeMoss, nephew, Danny (Amanda) Gentry; cousin and caregiver, Harold Honious, Jr; close, longtime friends, Candi Hundley, Elizabeth Bach, Kim Vencill, and Tracy Peters; and many more family and friends.
Channin graduated from Dixie High School in 1989 and went on to attend Sinclair Community College. She was happily employed at USPS in Trotwood as a mail carrier. Channin fought a courageous battle with Cancer and was an inspiration to so many in the New Lebanon and surrounding communities. Her strong, contagious personality along with her amazing sense of humor truly inspired those around her and brought people together from all walks of life. She considered many of her friends as family members but truly loved her children more than anything in this world. Special thank you to the entire community of New Lebanon for their generosity, love and support.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM on Wednesday, May 6 at the First Baptist Church of New Lebanon, 335 S. Church St., New Lebanon, Ohio 45345. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 7 also at the church. Pastor Bill Walk will be officiating. Interment will follow the service at Bear Creek Cemetery.
